U = needle under 1st big loop
(U) = needle under 2nd big loop (*)
O = left small loop: needle over yarn
/  = direction of yarn changes
U = left small loop: needle under yarn
-  = mark U is missing: needle under yarn (U) again (*)
-  = mark  / is missing: direction of yarn changes (*)
O = needle over yarn (U)
:  = direction of yarn changes (*)
U = needle under yarn (U)
O = needle over 1st big loop
O = needle over needle yarn


(*) = Egon Hansen decided to mark the phases of Åsle Stitch in this way. After all, the Åsle Stitch is not difficult to do, but the Notation seems rather confusing.
